ONE IN NINE is a feature length thriller set in a prison facility.  There, 9 convicts will face a challenge
that will leave only one of them alive.


About the filmmakers

                          Michael Stromenger
Michael Stromenger is a veteran writer, director, and performer. He's won the Best Director
award at the 2004 MSUM 48 Hour Film Festival, Best Editing at the 2005 MSUM 48 Hour
Film Festival, and two of his short films, Death of Art and Matryoshka, were Main Venue
showings at the 2005 Fargo Film Festival.

One In Nine is Mr. Stromenger's third feature script to date. He has also written two
full-length plays (one of which he directed) and several short plays and screenplays with
his writing partner Craig Petersen.

This is his feature directorial debut. Previously, he has directed several short films and
scenes.

A performer on the stage since age eight, Mr. Stromenger has had acting experience in
many mediums, including film. Due to this training, he directs with an actor's eye, drawing
from his past performing experience to enhance his actor's performances.

One In Nine has been an idea of his for over two years and he is very excited to give it life
and let others finally experience it.  He currently works in the production department at
Prairie Public.


                                    Kak Lee
Kak Lee was born in Laos, grew up in Merced, CA, and now resides in Moorhead, MN. He is
a film graduate from MSUM, where he recieved MSUM Film Studies Department's highest
scholarship.

Mr. Lee has been making short films ever since he was 14.  At the age of 16, he
volunteered at Merced Youth Tell A Vision and within 3 months he started directing. He
was the Assistant Director during Merced's April 2000 American Red Cross Fundraiser
event, which was broadcasted live on local channels.

During MSUM's 2004 Film Festival, Mr. Lee won Best Editing for the film Murray's History.
The film went on to the National Film Challenge where it took home the Best Use of
Character Award.  Two of his films (The Victim and The Dream) premiered at the 2004 Forx
Film Festival.  Two of his most recent film (Don't Whistle and Dead On) were official
selections at the 2005 Fargo Fantastic Film Festival.

In the summer of 2005 he was invited to Japan to synchronize Coca-Cola Japan's past
commercials for archival.  He currently works in the production department at Prairie Public.
